Select a clean, flat, hard surface. Carpeted or upholstered areas can make the process
more difficult.
Measure the gift to be wrapped, then add 4 inches to the
width and 1 1/2 inches to the length. This will ensure coverage
once the paper is cut to size.
To create clean edges, carefully fold the paper's edges.
Use double-sided tape to secure the paper.
You can create a quick gift card by cutting a square from
the same gift wrap. Fold the square in half and fasten to
the gift with tape or a short length of ribbon.
To create a stylish presentation without ribbon, add a band
around the package using your wrap. Cut a wide, long strip
of paper and fold the edges to create a clean line. Wrap
the band around the package and tape together at the back.
Add an extra touch by tying fresh flowers into a gift bow
or adding a small gift item into the trim. Attach a decorative
pen, address book or tiny frame to embellish your package
beautifully.
Gift bags are an excellent time-saver - as well as a handy
solution to wrapping oddly shaped items. Add tissue and a
bow for a classy and easy presentation.
Decorative nested boxes add another beautiful dimension
to gift giving. Nestle a gift inside each box, fill with
bright tissue and tie a neat stack with ribbon and bow.
